The Multi-Omics for Health and Disease Consortium
Connecting the many dimensions of health and disease.
The Multi-Omics for Health and Disease (MOHD) Consortium is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) initiative bringing together researchers, clinicians, community partners, and participants to better understand the complex factors that shape human health and disease. By integrating genomic and other molecular measurements with clinical, environmental, behavioral, and participant-reported information across multiple diseases, populations, life stages, and time points, MOHD is building a comprehensive resource to enable new discoveries about how health and disease develop, progress, and change over time.
Project Goals
Generate high-quality, interoperable multi-omic datasets from deeply phenotyped participants across multiple disease contexts, genetic ancestries spanning multiple populations, and life stages.
Develop and disseminate novel methods, robust standards, pipelines, and analytical frameworks to enable integrative analysis across molecular layers and participants.
Advance bidirectional dissemination—ensuring meaningful engagement with community liaisons and rapid, FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data sharing with the scientific community—to maximize the impact and reach of MOHD discoveries.
